Rick Warren’s Connection to the Ex-Gay Movement

In addition to Prop 8 support, I think one of the most objectionable things about Rick Warren is his support of ex-gay programs. These programs are the reason LGBT teenagers are four times more likely to commit suicide than their peers. My personal letter to Obama on the Warren debacle highlights this point, especially as so many of us come from born-again Christian homes that lead to seeking out the only resources we see available: destructive ex-gay programs.
