Its Good to be Heard but what are they not saying?

It would seem that after the backlash of criticism over the Fort Worth Stone wall anniversary incident  Police Chief Jeff Halstead is attempting to distance himself and his department from the fallout according to the Associated press as reported in the Dallas Morning News.

“Halstead said he wants to learn more about the events early Sunday at the Rainbow Lounge, and about the historical relationship between the TABC and his department.
Halstead also said he'll make sure officers are trained for dealing with different groups, specifically the gay and lesbian community.”
Not that I am not grateful for the swift action of the Police department in both investigation and reaction to both public and governmental scrutiny. However, with such a quick and immediate exit it makes me wonder what else Chief Halstead may have heard from his officers about the conduct and history of the officers from the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission in regards to the LGBT community. Sometimes it is so very hard to read between the lines.
