Religious Vigilantes to Work with Russian Police?

The Russian Orthodox Church is planning to set up vigilante groups to impose civic order in towns and villages, a church spokesman was quoted as saying in the Kommersant daily on Friday.

However Vyacheslav Revin of the Movement for the Rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals in Russia noted that,
There are some examples when similar teams have been created, and quite successfully operated in one of the European countries in the last century.
The teams were called Chernorubashechniki (Blackshirts), and were created in the mid-1930s in Germany.
These teams played one of key roles in the establishment of the fascist regime and were useful for Hitler.
